These mirrors are extremely well constructed and are a great replacment for the stock mirror.The shaft is chromed steel the mirror is chromed plastic. The shaft of these mirrors measures about 7 and the mirror itself is 6 wide and 3.75 tall. The 10mm right hand thread mounting bolt is 1/2 long. The long shaft allows adjustment of the mirror so you can have a clear view of what is behind you instead of reflecting part of your shoulder.
